Bowls, bowls, everywhere there is bowls

I like mixing/serving bowls.....i mean, I REALLY like bowls!!! I'd like to show you a few of my favorites. Of course, bowls are just one of the kitchen accessories that I like.....dishes in general are something that I like to collect. Along with antiques, and primitives.

This is the kitchen cabinet that I acquired about a year ago. I've wanted one of these for years.....just had to wait for the right one to come along! Mom had one similar to this, but hers was bigger and all wood, and had more drawers in it. This was an eBay find, and thanks to my friend Bryan for picking it up and storing it for me for a couple of months!

The left and the center bowls are currently my favorites. The left one I purchased on an auction from a church that was closing. The center one was a gift from my friend Judy. Both are used for raising dough....the left one for pizza and the center for cinnamon roll dough. I LOVE the center bowl just for the size of it.....it is HUGE! Love to have lots of room to work in this bowl. The yellow bowls on the right are part of the AtHomeAmerica Heirloom Pantry Bowl collection. (I am a Home Style Specialist for AtHomeAmerica.)

These beautiful pastel bowls were a "special" back when I was a Pampered Chef consultant. They are simply gorgeous. I only use them as serving bowls.

The inside of the center bowl is pastel blue.....a shade of robin egg blue

Another favorite set. Gee, can you guess why???......and I suppose when they start putting CAT tractors on bowls, I will have a set of those also!

FIESTAWARE!!!!! My all time favorite thing to collect! I leave a "drool trail" when I walk thru the Fiesta display at Macy's and Dillards! I used to have a somewhat impressive collection of Fiesta, but hubby "put his foot down" and said no more Fiesta, since I just have it "to look at" anyway! I'd like to start buying again.....I'm about 6 colors behind! My sister-in-law Lora has well surpassed my collection with hers. Her hubby, my fav brother-in-law Mike, isn't nearly as mean as his brother!! (Said with some sarcasm!)

Another AtHome Heirloom collection bowl set. This is the 2009 Limited Edition Positively Pretty Pink set. The color in this picture doesn't do it justice, this is a gorgeous pink. The bright blue bowl nesting in the middle is known as "the mashed potato bowl". That is what mashed potatoes were served in when I was a kid!

Another AtHomeAmerica set. This is the Baker's Basics 5 piece set. Love these "retro" look and colors. AtHome has GREAT bowls!!! Can you see why I joined their company??!!!

The apple bowl.....also known as the "gravy bowl".....goes with the "mashed potato bowl" from above!

This popcorn bowl was a Christmas gift from Mom and Dad one year.

And no, that's not all, there are more in the cabinets......but these are the pretty bowls, and the ones with meaning to me. Each has it's own story and place in my life and heart.

Thanks for taking the time to read. Hope you enjoyed!

Happy trails,
plowgirl

I need to take a photo of the bowl I found in the barn when Keith and I started dating. He'd forbidden his sisters from plundering and finding the treasure hidden in those old barns - for 10 years he'd kept them away! He said he was saving it all for me. :)
