Never Fail Cinnamon Rolls

This is the recipe for the BEST cinnamon rolls I've ever made! Vonnie usually brings 2 pans of them to Thursday Lunch, and they are gone lickety-split!

(without the glaze)

What you will need:

1 box yellow cake mix
2 pkgs. rapid rise dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
5 cups flour

Put all ingredients together in large bowl. (Electric mixer with dough hooks or a bread machine.)
Add 2 1/2 cups hot tap water and mix well
Cover and let rise until double in bulk. (About 2 hours)
Turn out onto floured surface and knead lightly
Roll out about 3/4 inch thick
Melt 1 stick of margarine and pour over the rolled out dough

Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar and chopped pecans
Roll up and slice about 1 inch thick
Place in 2 greased 9 x 13 pans and let rise for 30 minutes
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes DO NOT OVERBAKE!!!
Glaze or frost with your favorite frosting.

YUM! (just in case you forgot what they looked like while reading the recipe!)

Tonight is a demo derby committee meeting here at my house. I'm making Baked Potato Soup (recipe in Jan, '09) and chili and these cinnamon rolls. A menu for a very cold March night!

Enjoy! and stay warm tonight!
